Everyone likes to wear high-quality clothing. Defining what constitutes high-quality clothing is not straightforward as it is these days. Construction and cloth may appear to be the determining factors in quality. A quality assessment now includes the garment itself and where, how, and under what conditions your new purchase was created. Clothing buying used to be a once-in-a-year affair that occurred as the seasons changed or when we outgrew our current wardrobe. Something changed, though, around 20 years ago. Clothes grew less expensive, trend cycles accelerated, and shopping became a pastime.

Dressing up can be time-consuming, but it also feels nice, especially when receiving additional praises. It makes you feel better to put on nicer clothes. Your ability to think and perform is influenced by what you wear.

Enclothed cognition refers to the psychological effect that clothing has on the wearer's behavior and thinking. This means that whatever you're wearing can influence your thoughts and actions.
